Roughly two-thirds of consumer electronics returns are products that work perfectly. SkyCom delivers bilingual Tier 1–2 technical support, setup guidance, and warranty handling that resolves the confusion driving those returns — from five seats up, with zero setup fees.

Consumer electronics customer service outsourcing means delegating technical pre-sales, setup support, troubleshooting, warranty administration, and returns handling to a partner with product support capability rather than generic contact center staff.
Electronics support is not retail support with different products. A customer struggling to pair a device does not need order status; they need someone who can diagnose the problem and walk them through it. That distinction determines whether the product stays sold or comes back in a box.
The core figure comes from Accenture research and has proven stubbornly durable. Roughly 68% of consumer electronics returns fall under No Fault Found, meaning the returned unit tests as fully functional. Industry sources have continued citing that proportion for years, and it has not meaningfully improved.
A TechSee consumer survey explains why. It found that 41% of consumers had returned a non-defective item in the previous twelve months, contributing to more than $17 billion in annual lost revenue. Critically, 65% made that decision early — during unboxing, installation, or first use.
The triggers are specific. Some 54% of consumers said they would return a product they found difficult to install. Nearly 70% said the same about a product that was difficult to operate. Only 16% had any opportunity to try the product before buying it.
Then comes the number that makes the commercial case. Fully 72% of those surveyed said good customer service would have dissuaded them from returning the product. That is not a marketing claim. It is customers stating directly that a competent support conversation would have kept the sale.
Every NFF return carries the full cost of a genuine one — reverse logistics, testing, restocking, and depreciation that accelerates the moment a newer model launches. The difference is that this category of return is largely preventable, and the prevention mechanism is a support conversation.
